| 1963 | Invited to participate in the "Symposium of European Sculptors" (Symposion europäischer Bildhauer) hosted by the City of Berlin; created a stone sculpture in the square in front of the Reichstag building in Berlin |
| 1966 | Received a fellowship as an "Artist-in-Residence" from the German Academy |
| 1967 | Returned to Japan after spending time in Canada and the United States |
| 2006 | Passed away due to heart failure in Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture, while traveling; aged 82 |
